Understanding that you come equipped to be successful at college through your experiences and identities will be the focus of this interactive introspection and guidance through your analysis about messaging we receive and how we can break the cycle of deficiency thinking. This workshop will dive into current trends and how successful students frame and re-frame systems to ensure their journey is rewarding. We will identify the anti-deficit achievement model and define how it can be used to combat self-doubt, imposter syndrome, and a lack of belonging. We will provide tools to give you an understanding of challenging thought systems about who you are and who you are not.
